Mount Tamaplais

2020 January 11

I landed in San Francisco at around 5pm on Friday after having enjoyed the luxurious lifestyle of business class, got admitted into the land of freedom after over an hour of queuing, checked into my gSuite in Mountain View and finally took an Uber that Arya ordered for me straight to Micheal's surprise birthday party in San Mateo. It's important that I mention that Micheal has a voice-controlled bin.

The next day our very energetic boy Jeffrey, who flew in from China the day before and sacrificed most of his sleep to play Nintendo Switch, drove us up into the city where Arya joined us for some Super Duper burgers and Boba tea at Metreon. For the safety of everyone we let Jeffrey nap for a bit and then drove further north towards the Mount Tamalpais state park. It was probably already around 3pm when we started our hike from lake Lagunitas, now glistering in slowly fading golden sunlight. The trail up to Collier Spring was pretty steep and honestly not particularly rewarding, with only a small wooden bench in an otherwise cozy clearing awaiting us at the end. Micheal left a one-star review and under impeding sunset we decided against pushing further up to make it back down to the parking lot just in time to avoid a ticket.

Then we ate some very nice Thai food in San Francisco where I almost lost my Walgreens hat.
